Which is more accurate discovering tumors in the Colon? After 10 yrs I had a Colonoscopy performed resulting in a Malignant Neoplasm in the Ascending Colon. MRI with and w/o contrast was normal. Am I correct to believe it means no spreading of the tumor? I was under the impression that MRIs were more accurate discovering tumors in the Colon. GI indicated biopsy taken, follow-up required, surgery and Oncologist visit. Highly motivated and positive attitude!
