[DISCUSSION] Testors spray cans

So I've been searching around/asking some people and it seems that the consensus is Testors 1244/1246 are the way to go for painting screen accurate morpher plates. Now, I've read on other sites that the Testors spray can is bad and the way it sprays creates a bad finish. Can anyone confirm or deny this? Does everyone use the spray cans or do some of you use a spray gun instead? I really want to have the smoothest finish possible and if the Testors spray cans can't produce it I may have to look elsewhere. I appreciate any discussion/advice on the topic.
