[DISCUSSION] You cant take it with you - What to do with our collections when we're gone?

The discussion going on following the untimely passing of RB member Angelthetechrat over here reminded me of something I've been thinking about for years now- what happens to our collections when we die?

I know the concept of a Last Will and remaining earthy possessions isn't anything new, and arguably, determining what to do with a family member's car or house or life savings is a bit weightier than deciding who gets their Dino Bucklers, but I know that so many RB members have sank thousands of dollarpounds or yenbucks into collecting boxes upon boxes of what will seem like to any outsider, a mountain of colourful plastic tat.

I've often toyed (lol) with the idea of making a list or inventory of the things that I haven't sold off already, along with the cost of items, and how much it roughly should sell for, and where the best places to offload them would be. I think the two things I know I wouldn't want to happen is for my stuff to just be simply sent to landfill, or sold for less than it's worth.

On the other hand, I know that some people are of the mind that the collection should be retained, passed on to descendants, or used to remember the person by. In my situation, I don't really share my collecting habits with anyone- the most I do is display Figuarts in cases, but I don't talk about them and I'm not really known for them- so a room full of toys that I don't display, for me personally, isn't going to be something anyone pulls out to reminisce about.

So now I'm wondering- what do you guys want to happen to your collections?
