Call of Duty
The popular gaming franchise "Call of Duty" has grown over the years and become a personal favourite of mine. It launches games on PC, Xbox 360/1 and PS3/4. There has been ten successful games all having their place at the number one spot for a while at release and reeling in billions and billions of dollars for its main owner Activision and the co-maker at the time. What I mean by that is that the co-workers produce games at different times and it has normally been a switch between Infinity Ward and Treyarch (the companies all worked together to produce C.o.D 8 (Modern Warfare 3) which was one of the greatest games made. Call of Duty is a first-person shooter game which has a unique style that makes it different to a lot of other first-person shooters and you sure know there is a hell of a lot of them! The game has had many ups and downs and to read in large detail there is a page on Wikipedia.
(I would insert a link but seriously, typing Call of Duty Wikipedia in to a search engine really doesn't appear to be that challenging.)
The earlier games in the series are set primarily in World War II, including Call of Duty, Call of Duty 2, and Call of Duty 3. Beginning with Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, which is set in modern times, the series has shifted focus away from World War II. Modern Warfare (released November 2007) was followed by Call of Duty: World at War and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Black Ops (released November 2010) takes place in the Cold War, while Modern Warfare 3 (released November 2011) takes place in a near-future setting. Black Ops II (released November 2012) takes place in the year 2025. Call of Duty: Ghosts was released in November 2013. In May 2014, Advanced Warfare was announced and whereas not a lot about it is currently known, I will keep an eye out and I'm sure someone will hopefully inform us in the thread. I hope this will be a place for people to be informed as well as give opinions but friendly advice, don't trash the game as the people commenting here more than likely enjoy this game and therefore you cannot complain when people reply... Though what I do suggest is putting your views forward but not simply saying "COD IZ AMAZING!!!" or "COD IS SOOOO CRP" please explain your views friendly and considerately. Advanced Warfare will be developed along with Activision by a new company who has came in to the mix Sledgehammer Games. They have helped before but never been that involved and so this game will supposedly be different than the others and patient gamers should definitely be ready for big changes in game style and menus!
Questions you could answer:
Do you think they should still stretch out the franchise?
Name 2 pros and 2 cons of the series.
What keeps you hooked and buying every game?
Which edition do you usually purchase and why?
Do you want betas for the games?
Do you preorder games?
Converse away!
With all that said I hope the thread will flourish and have fun! For interesting and fun videos I suggest going to Ali-A (or Matroix) channel and be aware of new micro-dlc! I will keep this space updated with new and upcoming DLC:
DISCLAIMER: IT IS INEVITABLE THAT I PROBABLY MADE A FEW SPELLING/GRAMMATICAL ERRORS AND THEREFORE THERE IS NO NEED TO POINT THEM OUT DOWN BELOW UNLESS YOU REALLY FEEL THE URGE TO DO SO BUT UNLESS THE WORLD IS ENDING PLEASE REFRAIN FROM DOING SO.
