[REVIEW] Special Size Ultimate Daizyujin

Alrighty.

So in my previous thread, I was asked to provide pics upon receiving the Special Size Ultimate Daizyujin, and so i decided to just open up a new thread and create a review! With each pic I'll be giving details the best that I can as part of the review. So lets go over what comes in the box!

  • Special Size Zyutei Daizyujin/Mega Dragonzord

  • God Ceasar/Dragonzord Chestplate with black connector

  • God Ceasar/Dragonzord Tail

  • Two sets of fists

  • 2 silver back guns

  • Special Size King Brachion/Titanus

  • King Brachion/Titanus Paws

  • King Brachion/Titanus Tail/Chest Armor

Now, the box for the figure is very nicely done up, but in my opinion, can prove to be deceiving if you're not familiar with Power Rangers or Sentai style boxes, as it pictures the Deluxe version of the Ultimate Daizyujin on it. This, to me, is very misleading as it makes or could make the collector/purchaser think that they are getting a Deluxe figure.

Here is the Zyutei Daizyujin figure that is included, right next to the original 1993 Special Size Megazord. Both figures are the same identical mold, in terms of body parts and design. They literally share almost the same exact parts, with the exception of the shoulders and heads. The God Ceasar himself is not removable but features very nice chrome along his design, as well as stickers to emulate the look of the finger blasters. Also, he can be armed with the chestplate and tail.

Then you have the armor of King Brachion, which can attach to Zyutei Daizyujin, giving him the look before he completes transformation. I would like to note that the arm/chest armor can also fit onto the 1993 Special Size Megazord as well.

Now, we move on to the main deal, the King Brachion/Titanus figure. Looking at him in pictures, he looks imposing. Sadly, I do not have a 2010 Titanus any longer to compare him with, but I can honestly say that he looks to be smaller than the 2010 figure, since he accomodates the smaller scaled Megazords. He transforms basically the same as the original King Brachion/Titanus, but doesn't have a large console like section that folds out like on the larger toy. Rather, his front section looks very much like the 2010 Titanus, where the entire section is a large panel that plops down. It doesn't look too bad, to be honest as it does the job nicely. Also, King Brachion is compatible with the Super Kakurai Daishogun mini figure/Special Size Ninja Megafalconzord, and can create a miniature version of Ninja Ultrazord.

Overall, the figure is definitely a welcome addition to my collection and any collection for that matter. If you're a fan of Zyuranger or Mighty Morphin, this fits in perfectly with the figures. And the best part is that it takes up very little space. The combined state doesn't leave much to be desired as its very accurate in my opinion. Very nicely detailed, and well worth the price that I paid, which is $105.00 shipped. My final thoughts are that this is an amazing toy, and I will be looking forward to finding more Special Size Sentai Mecha like it!

Hope this review is found to be helpful! :)
