I have been waiting for this for years. On the list of shows I watched as much of as I possibly could, Baywatch definitely ranks somewhere in the top ten, and syndicated programming honestly hasn't been the same since. It's cheesy, it's gratuitous, it's sometimes downright ridiculous, and I can't help but love it.

The Rock is the perfect star for this. He does serious and comedic equally well, and if anybody's ever had the body for it, it's that dude. Throw in first-person camera shots, some kind of kidnapping storyline, and Hasselhoff and Pam Anderson cameos, and we're in business.

I can't help but think Kate Upton is on the short list for one of the female roles...
