So I’m sure this thread has been done multiple times, but with time comes new sub groups, old sub groups die out, some get better, some get worse, and so on.
Also I hear constant fights over sub groups, and one name that I see that continues to get bashed and get some praise is TV-Nihon, who I currently watch for my subs and are the 1st sub group I've seen.
Though now I’m starting to regret it a bit after knowing of their constant errors and mistakes that people say they have. Hell, one thing I noticed was the high amont of swearing that shows up, even I know that can't be that normal for children television (though Sonic did say shit in the japanese Sonic X anime :3), and I'm totally new to this Fansub thing (by which I mean seeing them, I knew they existed beforehand). Also apparently some words and terms don't get translated, but there are arguments over that, so I won't get into that in this post now.
One problem I have is that so many different names keep on popping up, like Aesir Subs and Over-Time and other groups and sites. Really I’m a bit lost here :confused:, so I’m hoping this site can point me to a better direction than TV-Nihon (of course seeing someone tell me the good aspects about them will be appreciated too). Also tell me why whatever group you recommend is good, but not just generic “they’re good” stuff, like how they’re good.
At times like these, I wished that these Japanese Tuko shows would just get an English release so then there will just be a war over if they’re good or not, but at least they're done by professionals who know what they're doing and any word that doesn't get translated (like Haki in the Funimation sub simulcast) is usually by executive mandate.
