I never understood when the 3 actors didn't show up for ADR sessions and for the remainder of the character's run, why did they use replacement voice actors. It would have been so much easier and less awkward to just use stock dialogue from the 3. They did this in "Welcome to Venus Island", "Song of Guitardo" and "Green No More". At the time, thee were hundreds of clips of them making general battle phrases ("Let's do it!, "Let's get to work", ect...) not to mention, thousands of their "Kiya's!", (which is the most baffling choice, their really should only be ONE ADR session at the beginning of production for those, why call the actors in over and over).
It's almost like they went out of the way to hammer home that something was changing and to "not get to attached to these guys". It really changed with "Missing Green" which is where I suppose they made the final decsion that these actors were no longer going to be part of the show. It was though up until that point, it wasn't known whether or not they were going to continue, so they used the familiar voices were they could. I know there were a few instances of the fake voices in "Welcome to Venus Island", which makes it an odd case.
To me, it just seems like an odd thing to do considering they had SO MUCH generic stock audio that could've been put in instead of fake voices. It's not like they were given anything substantial to say in those episodes anyway. I almost wish ASJ and WEJ would go back and redub that stuff for a future release. Of course they would have to be paid union scale:)
