I'm 42 and have been getting a yeast infection every month for the past 4 months about one week prior to my period(Ive never had one before, ever). My periods are still fairly regular(every 26 days) and moderate in nature. I have no other risk factors for yeast infections(I haven't taken antibiotics in years, I am a normal weight and a very healthy eater, with minimal sugar and alcohol intake). Wondering if anyone else has this problem or if it could be to imbalanced hormones? I take diflucan every month, which takes care of it, but the problem recurs every month at around the same time. It's driving me batty!
Can Recurring Yeast Infections be a Sign of Perimenopause?
