Hey gang. I tried to post the topic in the Merchandise Section but it wouldn't let me. Since the discussion is more on the helmet itself I figured there would be no harm in posting it here.
I have noticed that a lot of the recent helmet props and merchandise for the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers have included black stripes within the details of the original MMPR helmets. You can see this in the Power Ranger Legacy Mask Collection and even the helmets made by MMPR Helmets USA.
However, I don't remember those black lines being present at all in the MMPR helmets in the show. I have been sitting down with the DVDs and watching the show in order to pause it and review the Red Ranger's helmet, the Blue Ranger's helmet, etc. However, I have yet to see any solid evidence that there were black lines detailing the helmet. The red in the helmet, the silver t-rex teeth, the white mouth, the gray mouth area. All these are separated by mere color not black lines.
Am I missing something or is this just something they added to the products? :confused:
