[DISCUSSION] 3D Printable Models - Requests

Drop your requests here.

Do not worry about how many items are on the list. This is something I'm doing on my spare time and to be completely honest, in order to keep this fun for myself and not feel like it’s work, I will be picking out subjects that call out to me the most. In addition, due to time constraints, I’ll most likely choose things that are easy and fast to model first just to get it the out of the way. I hope you guys can understand.

Current Request List (in no particular order)

Thunder Slinger

8" MMPR Weapons that combine

Legacy Blade Blaster sword mode

Legacy holster/hip adapter with alt. mode weapons

(I’ll be updating this list on this post with every request that’s put down. When the model is made and added to the shop I’ll simply cross it out here.)

Guidelines if you wish to make a request

• You must be willing to help me with reference if asked for. Don't assume I have the toy that you need a part for, that I know every fandom out there, or that I’ve watched every season of PR/Sentai. I can tell you now the only seasons I’ve watched are MMPR, Zeo through Lost Galaxy (but not since they aired on TV for the first time), Gokaiger, Kyoryuger, and currently watching Dino Thunder and of course Mega Force/Super Mega Force.

• Try not to ask for parts with a very unique shape that fit into something else. A prime example would be replaceable faces (Kotobukiya Black Magician Girl) or body parts (S.H Figuarts Lucario Eyes). Parts like those are practically impossible for me to match in the 3D program where I have nothing to put the digital part into to see if it fits. It’s very unlikely that the model I make will fit seamlessly into the real toy. It would require a lot of prototyping but if you are willing to pay for all the versions I’ll be willing to help you out.

• Lastly, just keep in mind that I’m modeling this in a program where practically anything goes, but if you want to make it real you have to worry about real life physics.

I you wish to hire me for a personal project, PM me. As a job, this will take priority over requests. (I’m only working on requests on my spare time).

FAQ

Can anything be 3D Printed?

While my skills as a 3D modeler allow me model almost anything, not EVERYTHING can be 3D printed. Shapeways has its limitations. If something is too small or thin, it could be a problem for the printer depending on the material. In a case like this, I would have to edit the design and thicken up specified areas. Also, depending on the size of the model I may not be able to sell it in a certain material. See page 2 or click the link for a list of shape ways materials and information on the size limitations: http://ift.tt/PspUv9

Do the models come painted? No they are just printed plastic and they come in the material you choose to buy it in. I will mostly be selling them in the “Frosted Ultra detail” and “Strong & Flexible” material.

Why is Shipping so much for such a small item?

I really don’t know. I don’t work for Shapeways, I just have a shop there like an ebay or etsy store. They print the models, and they ship it out.

Could you sell your model to those who have 3D printers of our own?

Please understand why I can’t share file copies of products I’m selling.

The prices are seem a bit overpriced.

You have to acknowledge that these aren’t toys and certainly not toys that have been massed produced. You are paying for material, printing service, and of course me as the artist making the 3D models.

Okay guys, let's make things a reality :023:
