Thought it would be best to have some BIONICLE/Hero Factory discussion of its own (unofficially, of course), separate from the LEGO thread, to aid visibility and promote our love and enjoyment of BIONICLE, Hero Factory, their predecessors Slizer/Throwbots and RoboRiders, and even the other recent constraction mini-lines.
But of course, the main reason to start this is to formally announce to the BIONICLE fans on this site of its likely impending return! That's right - after a black-and-white leaked display stand, a leaked set list and unintentional hints from LEGO and former BIONICLE writer Greg Farshtey, we have colour images of the brand new 2015 sets.
Leaked set list indicates the return of the Toa Mata - Tahu, Kopaka, Lewa, Gali, Onua and Pohatu - along with 'Defender of [Element]' sets and something tentatively titled 'Lord of the Skull Spiders'. The Defenders are on the top row of the linked image (barring the Fire one), followed by Lewa, Pohatu, Gali and the Lord of the Skull Spiders on the middle row, and Tahu, Kopaka, Onua and the Defender of Fire on the bottom row. They seem to use the Hero Factory build system, though I imagine we'll have a new system within a couple of years much like how Hero Factory's first wave adapted BIONICLE's 2008-2010 small sets before developing the current system. But I could be wrong.
In any case, let's discuss heroes old and new. :)
