[POWER RANGERS] Kim and Kat, the female versions of Jason and Tommy?

Not sure if this was discussed before (most likely was), but was it me or did it seem like Kimberly and Katherine could have had been the female versions of Jason and Tommy in terms of a friendly "rivalry" had they been on a ranger team at the same time?

I say this because I recently saw the Turbo movie and when Kim is evil, she puts effort into getting over to Kat in order to fight her. Then the line she says to Kat "Evil is as evil does" that makes me think she never really got over Kat setting her and the other rangers up when she first got to town. Then after she gives her a kick, she tells her pink is out (which I personally found kind of funny as she was wearing a near pink shirt herself). But once she wasn't under the evil influence anymore, when entering the Megazord at the end of the film (the credits I believe), she can be seen going up to Kat and grabbing her hands with a smile on her face.

Then there's looking at the MMPR series itself. While Kat was evil, she didn't really like Kim and took pleasure in making her life miserable. However once she was good, she went far to make up for her bad choices and became a better "friend" or at least friendly acquaintance to her.

It remains me of Jason and Tommy's relationship. Whenever they were possessed by something evil in MMPR, they would always be mean to each other and wanting to fight. Jason even admitted that he didn't want him on the team during one of the arguments while Tommy admitted her wanted become the new leader in his place. Then in the Turbo movie, similar to how Kim went after Kat while evil, Jason made sure he and Tommy battled. During the battle, it's something he says that quite telling, he tells Tommy "I have the muscles and the power now." Then in the end sequence in the megazord, we can see Jason go out his way to hug Tommy. It was either that or a handshake.

I really wish we could have seen the two ladies on the same ranger team to see how their relationship would have gone.
