Well, as the title suggests, do you think it could have been possible for Machiko Soga, who portrayed Rita Repulsa in Season 1, could have been brought to America to be Rita's physical actress in Season 2 onwards?
Apart from the obvious fact that it would be costly (and Saban is cheap), I think it could easily have been possible. They did fly her to America so she could film some scenes for "Doomsday" (the originally planned Season 1 finale), so she was interested in reprising her role.
Some obvious hindrances, beside the expense, is the possible language barrier (although she did speak some English - since she filmed some scenes in English for Rita that was exclusively for Power Rangers), and the fact that she would have had to be away from her family for an extended period of time - unless of course, they filmed all the Moon Palace scenes at once.
Maybe it's just my never-to-be-fulfilled wish to see the original Rita with Lord Zedd (The Mutiny doesn't count because her face was never seen in the same shot as Zedd, for obvious reasons...) But she was a staple of Power Rangers and should have been given the option...
