I was just wondering if anybody will tune in tomorrow morning to watch the last showing of Vortexx on the CW channel, which is for that matter the last SatAM block EVER on TV (that's not on cable) as it's been a long tradition.
I never paid that much attention to Vortexx anyway, particularly because of the age group it's shows are geared towards but because these were the last weeks I've been watching bits of it every now and then and i will watch it tomorrow because it's the finale of Vortexx before the block gets replaced with that Littons garbage, especially since I've had the displeasure of missing the final ABC Kids showing on 27 August, 2011, and ABC Kids was a LOT better than Vortexx (in my opinion anyway).
I mean i kind of understand because of the new demand for more i/e programming on the weekends and not to mention the difficult competition for children's TV to stay on the air these days, and plus this new technology age that kind of destroyed the need for SatAM programming. Frankly I'm quite surprised Vortexx managed to run this long! But i guess the ratings must've been high enough for it to stay on.
I'm still pissed that I've also had the displeasure of being unaware that Power Rangers Lost Galaxy was running on Vortexx during the summer-fall of 2012 until it was too late! If only they had ran Lightspeed Rescue on Vortexx I would've gotten over it a little easier.
But it's still sad to see SatAM programming go after so many years.
Farewell to SatAM TV blocks.
