So I was watching Goseiger (God I adore this SS) and their whole"our teamwork gives us power" gimmick got me thinking. "How do Super Sentai/Kamen Rider expect children to apply these concepts of "power" Within their daily lives? Every SS, KR, and MH (or any Japanese children's show for that matter) preach the whole "whatever you can do to help, that's your power" gimmick. What does "power" mean to the Japanese? Why is having more power so central to their children's shows?
Lets pretend a Japanese child lacks friends, a loner kid, (you know the type) how could said child apply this "power message" to their life? Is it team work? Is it being good at whatever their good at? Why is it so pivotal?
