This is a fanfic me and two others [blueprodigy and The Doctor] wrote together for a fanfiction contest on RangerVision. I'm sharing it here with permission from both. I've put "Adaptation" in inverted commas because it is a very loose one, more like creating a original story using Gokaiger visuals. All twenty episodes have been completed and will be posted periodically, but first, the brief:

THE STORY:
The Razanka Empire are a power hungry dominion of privateers seeking to acquire new power, wealth and treasure to conquer new worlds and do it all again. When they approach Earth, they learn of a force that protects it and other worlds close to it. The Power Rangers. The Razanka Empire want this power, and are willing to go through any length to get it. They lure the rangers into a giant conflict that turns out to be a defeat. Every single ranger team that has protected Earth has their powers stolen, and a lot of the rangers are captured to who knows where.
The Razanka create their own powers as a prototype to use alongside the past ranger powers. When candidates among the empire are deemed unworthy to use them, four teenagers from nearby cities are abducted to use the powers. When a member of the pirates, Onyx native Captain Kratos Murmani is betrayed by them, he recruits the teenagers. They obtain the prototype ranger powers and the past ranger powers. Now it's up to four teens from Earth and one Onyx pirate captain, as Power Rangers to, rally the veterans to battle, and unlock the final pieces to the powers along the way.

Red Corsair Ranger: Captain Kratos Murmani (played by Damien Molony) – Kratos is a Onyx pirate that had an intense greed and desire for power until he was betrayed by the Razanka Empire. He's a strict, stern commander that doesn't seem to care for the human race at all and they can rot for all he cares. Underneath that tough exterior though is a caring, heroic soul waiting to surface. It just needs the right trigger.
Blue Corsair Ranger: Clark Forsythe (played by Corbin Bleu ) –Clark is a black belt master in Kendo swordsplay, using his expertse to teach the other human rangers. He's also the tactician and analyst of the group and finds himself at odds with others when he believes his way is the correct way. He is the big brother of the group, giving moral support to the others when they need it most.
Yellow Corsair Ranger: Constance “Connie” Holland (played by Isabelle Furhman) - Connie describes herself as “a black and white girl forced to live in a world of gray.” In her eyes, things are black or white, good or bad, right or wrong; and her insistence that these designations are absolute often puts her at odds with her more morally ambigious crewmates.
Green Corsair Ranger: Daniel “Dan” Black (played by Russell Tovey) – Dan can crack a joke about any situation. He doesn’t take most situations seriously after a serious atmosphere at home as a child and a fear of violence after an incident learning martial arts. However, beneath that clown exterior lies the heart of a dedicated, strong and loyal warrior.
Pink Corsair Ranger: Marie Swanson (played by Arden Cho) – Marie is headstrong, almost to the point of being arrogant and can appear to be entitled at times because of her upbringing. But she is passionate about the people around her and cares deeply for them. Marie is the only one who laughs at Dan's jokes while the rest find him annoying.
Silver Privateer Ranger: ???
ALLIES:
D.T. (played by Hilary Shepard Turner) The former Divatox seeks a way to atone for her evil ways, so she masterminds a way to stop her mother’s conquest of Earth. She, with the help of Karone, stole the prototype zords and established a sanctuary in the ruins of the Power Chamber (that she herself destroyed years ago) She prefers to be called simply D.T. these days (Divatox is like so evil and that’s not who she is anymore.)
Dr. K (played by Olivia Tennet) Brought with the RPM Rangers from another dimension, Dr. K takes refuge in the basement of the Power Chamber with Boom. She now helps to figure out how to help The Corsair Rangers use the Ranger keys to defeat the Empire. Do not, if you value your life, refer to a Ranger suit as “spandex” in Dr. K’s presence. She will hurt you.
Boom (played by Kelson Henderson) Boom came back in time with the SPD B-Squad to prevent the Empire taking over, but he found himself just as powerless as he had ever been. He hides with Dr. K in their new sanctuary, but she is not near as tolerant of his goofball antics as Kat Manx was. He’s a bit of a buffoon but he means well, helping Dr. K test her solutions, often subjecting himself to harm.
P.A.U.L.I.E. (Pirate Assistant for Universal Life In Expectation) D.T.’s helper in piloting the zords and communicating with The Haven (the Power Chamber basement) Nutty as a pet coon, P.A.U.L.I.E. will often cause disarray by landing where he’s not supposed to and talking too close to people’s ears.
RECURRING ALLIES
Karone (played by Melody Perkins) The former Astronema has an intimate look at how the Empire is operating, which is not unlike how Dark Specter ran his operation. She sabotages the Corsair Project by first assisting the Rangers to escape, than by decrypting the code, allowing them to actually activate the morphers. Now Karone is on constant recon, learning what she can about the Empire’s plans; and how she can help the Rangers screw them up.
Dr. Tommy Oliver (played by Jason David Frank) This legendary Power Ranger is by far the foremost expert on the matter to be found on Earth. Much to Nautilus’ chagrin, Tommy was not among the Rangers captured. But his knowledge of the Rangers’ identities could be useful to the Corsair Rangers to help keep them safe.
THE EMPIRE:
The Ranzanka Empire are a group of alien privateers who's connections and conquests rapidly grew into an empire all it's own. They originate from the planet Esurio, a desolate world riddled with corruption almost as much as Onyx, it's key trading outpost. They've set their sights on Earth's vast riches and minerals, and one rare prize: The Power Rangers. Lead by The Empress, they swamp planets, pillage, plunder and conquer.
Captain Davi Medd: (Played by Kristof Konrad) The leader of The Ranzanka Empire and Kratos' mentor. (He is a technical and combat genius. He figured out how to personally reverse engineer ranger powers and hack into the morphing grid to create his own bootlegs of the powers and set his own engineers, including Reveana to work. He is also a master strategist, always having a fail-safe plan if something goes wrong. When the Corsair Rangers escape Davi's grasp, he welcomes the challenge. His arrogance can lead to shortsightedness in all but the obvious plan, and it may very well be his own downfall.
Simia - A primate creature serving Captain Medd from unknown origin. She seems to have sympathy for the humans, ofter getting under her master's skin.
Prince Nautilus - The son of the unseen Razanka Empress seeks desperately to prove himself in the field. He feels his mother doesn’t trust him as she sends Vorgazu to “babysit” him. Headstrong and impatient, his crew has to walk on eggshells around him.
Vorgazu - The lead general under Nautilus has no patience for shilly-shallying by anyone around him. When his prince makes a mistake Vorgazu is first to point it out, often in the same breath threatening to tell his mother. Sparks will fly between these two.
Reveana - The Empire’s R & D expert is always up to no good. That’s all anyone knows for sure about her. She mainly makes weapons and makes monsters grow, but has been known to dabble in even more heinous acts. No one should trust her as far as they can throw the flagship.
C-Bone - One of the Empire’s most auspicious technological achievements, this cyborg was presented to Nautilus as a personal soldier. He says very little often merely “sir, yes, sir.” His lame name shows one of Nautilus’ numerous ineptitudes, but C-Bone’s skill in battle should not be underestimated. Nautilus never explains how it came to be, only that it was a "gift from a certain planet.."
I- Knights - Reveana tirelessly churns out these guys by the thousands to do battle for the Empire. They are often under the command of a G-Knight and tirelessly whip tail when called upon.
Putrapods - Elite units sent directly by the Empress in times of great need. Slow, but powerful, they are hard to defeat.
The Empress - Once known as Mama D, The Razanka Empress seeks without tolerance of failure, the domination of the entire universe, succeeding even where her daughter, Divatox, had failed.

POWER RANGERS: THE CORSAIR PROJECT
