This is the probably the one instance where Linkara actually influenced my opinion. This is definitely one of the better Turbo episodes. It took a very unique approach to what could have been a very cliche storyline. Who I am kidding, I love this episode for one reason and one reason only....
Jenny sits down and Katherine tries to talk to her and Jenny gets into this snarky rant about how they'll be friends forever. Katherine basically says, I'm paraphrasing, "cut the crap and shut the fuck up". :007:And I was like, damn, I likes me a blunt, bold bitch! You better tell her! I loved it! Easily one of the top three Katherine moments ever. That scene alone, is enough to watch this episode. Because you know, you can't have a stinky attitude and expect people to people to feel sorry for you. If you act like a rude bitch, you're gonna be treated like a rude bitch. You show people how to treat you. And you can't even put your personal shit and shitty attitude aside in a professional setting, in front of your superiors? Jenny, you know you wrong.
However, all of that being said. I'm kind of on the fence about the situation. This is where we get into full on soapbox Trini Kwan mood. As if we haven't already. I have to say I see where everybody's coming from, including Jenny. Yeah, Jenny is rude and she does intentionally give off this negative "don't talk me" vibe but at the same time, she just wants to be left alone. She wasn't going out of her way to be rude to people, Katherine was the one to initiate all the interaction. You can't really blame her or be mad at her, if she doesn't want friends. So what? She's not bothering you, she's stays out of your face, you stay out of her's. That's it. If she wants to be alone let her be alone, it's not like she's taking it out on people.
So as much I loved how this episode ended, it did seem a little harsh but it was still justified because Jenny did deserve it. Even still, considering Katherine is aware of her personal issues, in fact she can actually kind of relate, it felt kinda unfair. Because the way they talk about Jenny, it's as if she gets in people's faces with her rudeness. Like she's as rude and obnoxious as Bulk and Skull circa season one. No, she isn't. She just wants to be left alone, not bothering anybody. Yeah, she should wave back when you say hi to her but just like how she can't expect people to be sympathetic. You can't expect people to be polite, just because it's the right thing, everybody's different. Especially considering you have no real reason to say hi to her, she doesn't actually know you.
Still, I ADORED Katherine in this episode.
