Hi friends. Mentors or commanders play a huge role in boosting the rangers,charting the plans,directing them the right way to do,educating them about unity,ranger powers and many more things.Its great. This is one part,we have also seen another part where the mentor dons two caps one of the mentor and another as the 6th ranger.The examples are given hereunder
1.Dr.Tommy Oliver
Most prominent and he was the first if we don't take alex of time force into account. He was once a ranger turned commander if i'am right. He was black dino thunder ranger,He first donned the role of mentor of the three other rangers after discovering dino gems,then he himself after couple of episodes donned the role of black power ranger. That was quite interesting and it did shake the formula.Back in india people have not seen mighty morphin in television,only in net. So when they saw him in dino thunder,they loved him literally. It was a untouched formula till then. But with him it became a huge success
2.Riding on the success of Dr.Tommy Oliver,Doggie Anubis Cruger Commander of Space Patrol Delta took over the mantle and became power ranger in the episode shadow ranger where he becomes a rangers to save Dr.Kat Manx from general benaag. He dons the role of commander and a ranger with perfection. He also teachs the ranger to not be reliant on him which shows how good the leader he is. His plans,his direction,his mentoring was great. According to me he was the best in role of mentoring and being ranger.
3.Consecutively for the third time Odonna of power rangers mystic force is a mentor and power ranger.She started out as mentor and snow mystic ranger,but she loses in the very first episode.Nearing the ending she gets the power back and she continues to don dual roles. We could not see much of potential due to the fact we only got to see her performing dual roles in a single episode for a couple of times.
After that we have not got mentor as power ranger.Although it is based on the series story but i believe we should have more mentors as power rangers in the series. They can be good in performing the dual role. What is your thought,should we have them as mentors only or mentor and power ranger
