I'm not much of a fan fiction writer, but I was bored today and felt motivated to write out the synopses of what would happen in Super Megaforce if I was in charge for the first two episodes, and I might continue. Basically I put myself in this hypothetical situation: Jonathon Tzachor is fired after Megaforce and before Super Megaforce and I'm appointed the show runner. This is to show that with the smallest changes that this season would've been a classic.
However, these rules still apply:
- Whatever happened in Megaforce still happened in Megaforce and I have to continue and conclude that story.
- Majority of the episodes need to have a resemblance to the real Super Megaforce episodes.
- Limited to 20 episodes.
- The same Pre-Zyu teams have to be used since they set this in stone at the beginning of Megaforce.
- There must be more Gokaiger footage than original footage.
- Cameos must be reasonable.
Episode 1:
- Instead of keeping the Megaforce Powers and later using the Megaforce Megazords, they're revealed to be destroyed at the beginning of the episode by Gosei.
- Gosei reveals that he's had a secret back up plan this whole time that Zordon set up. In the chance that Zordon would pass away before the next scale invasion, Zordon set Gosei's command center up with some special hardware that would continue to run while Gosei and Tensou were sleeping. This hardware would record any Ranger team that stepped foot on earth into the morphing grid during Gosei's nap. That's why SPD, Time Force and RPM are usable powers.
- Gosei was told to nap for over 20 years in order to not direct attention to foes that weren't earth threatening.
- The hardware would allow anyone with the proper keys to use an emulated version of past powers. These powers are weaker than the real versions, and can't be sustained for more than a couple of minutes and must be recharged.
- Jake's concerned to why his new color's green. Gosei gives him a straight answer: "Jake, most Power Ranger teams have either a Black or Green ranger. Your color transition means that you have the privilege of representing both black and green in different teams."
- The Goranger morph is replaced with Mighty Morphin instead of skipped
- The rest of the fights are pretty much the same, except they always go straight to Super Megaforce Mode.
- Operation Overdrive Red would be replaced with Lost Galaxy red during the fight, since his element is fire and would work with the fire vortex.
Let me know what you think, or if it even belongs in the fan fiction forum. The second episode has a lot more ideas behind it with it being a proper tribute to SPD without even needing any of the SPD actors.
