Hello, Hello RB'ers!
This thread is to gauge interest in two new projects of mine.
First up, some of you may have seen me talking about this in the MMPR movie morpher thread over in merch, and I thought I'd see if there was any interest in this. I have been working on a movie morpher styled holster for the legacy power morpher; this holster would fix itself to the morpher by pressure, so no clips, gluing, or any form of permanent attachment necessary.
The holster is still in the WIP stages atm, but I do have images for you all.
Next up is a resin version of the original DX megazord Power Sword. Now I'm sure you're all thinking that a resin copy would just be painted silver, and not look as great as the original. Maybe even look as dull as the softer, round tipped blade. However, I've been looking into some home chroming methods and have been practicing with one. Thus far, I've had some slight success.
I have practiced on a reject resin blade blaster blade of mine ( these are also still on sale... no? no interest? fine :( .... lol) and have come up with this sample so far.
Of course, while I've been able to achieve a shiny surface, I haven't fully achieved the mirror like finish that real chromed pieces have. It is getting there though :023: Keep in mind, this is not real chrome plated, so the quality, while fairly good (once I'm proficient enough) is not exactly the same.
So, any interest in these? Sound off below!
