Yeah, as we all know, Power Rangers switched to Disney over a decade ago and production moved to New Zealand and thus they cast New Zealand actors and they had to hide their accents. Some better than others.
So basically, was the accent slippage a problem? Was it distracting? Yes? No?
For me, personally, it did kind of get on my nerves a little bit. It is kinda distracting. The only time it was truly a problem though, was Overdrive. Good Lord! Overdrive!
I understand why they don't just set the show IN Australia or New Zealand and let the actors talk how they naturally talk. What's the big deal? Heck, some of the actors in OO are from UK. Why not set it in the United Kingdom?
Anyway we don't have to deal with it as much as before but there's still the occasional side character who's really bad at hiding accents.
