I know how this thread gonna turn out but I'm still gonna do it anyway, if for nothing else just to see how rangers who are not RJ rank up.
I'm gonna resist the RJ love and vote for Casey because he deserves it. He's an awesome ranger with a great character arch, a good heart, a bit of an edge to him, a cool smooth laid back demeanor but also a fearless determined hotheadedness. I think he's underrated. I don't get what everybody saying about him being whiny and all that crap. He willingly went to the villain's lair, on his own, knowing he could be destroyed! Hello!
I disliked Theo at first but he grew on me. I thought his height would be a distraction but not really. His actually personality does appeal to me, he's straight laced and serious but he's not immune to the over the top slapstick humor. Plus, he has the coolest animal, Jaguars are my favorite and the coolest weapons, I love the fan and especially the tonfa.
Lily's my least favorite and probably my least favorite Yellow Ranger. Her acting is horrible, her actual personality is irritating, she plays with Theo's emotions and she's the only core five ranger who didn't get any character growth. The only thing I like about Lily, is that unlike other lone female rangers, she doesn't make the boys look inferior and she's just as quirky and flawed as they are.
I know everyone is gonna give RJ his mad props so I won't bother here. All I have to say is, who ever came up with mentors rangers is an absolute genius.
And Dominic well. I relate to him, with the reading and traveling but you know with these Special Rangers, you get used to them not being around. You've already settled in the show by the time they've shown up and the writers don't spend a lot of time properly characterizing them. It's kinda like.....eh. They don't really make an impact. His relationship with Fran is adorable, but that praise is more inclined to Fran than him.
Should I have given a spot to the Spirit Rangers?
