Ah Jon T, his run on the show since Saban 2.0 got the rights has been very... contraversial to say the least. The next Bruce Kalish of sorts when it comes to the fandoms perception on him.
Now if you don't know who Jon T is, Jon T (full name Jonathan Tzachor) was the producer and executive producer for Power Rangers twice. Once during Saban's initial run with Power Rangers from In Space to the start of the Disney era with Wild Force. Twice with Saban Brands/Saban 2.0/Neo Sabans current run with Power Rangers, with Super Megaforce being his last season of the run.
So why is T a contraversial figure? If you frequent this board you should know by now, but if you don't, well... there is too many reasons and I'm sure that many of the people who will reply to this thread will discus the issues of Jon T. But I'm going to do something NOBODY expected. I'm going to praise him, because without him, there would of been certain Power Rangers wouldn't have had until later in it's run if it made it past.

Of course there is issues that people have with him in his copy and paste ways of making series, but that's what other people on this thread are for, to tell you the issues first hand.
Now the point of this is to discus about him and his runs and works. There is a lot to dislike about the ways Jon T handels things, but there's gotta be some good right? Personally I'm glad they took away his Executive Producing chair and gave it to "The Messiha" Judd "Chip" Lynn, but that's just me and a lot of other people on this board, and probably other boards.

Tzachor's time spent as producer brought many firsts to the world of Power Rangers in terms of storywriting and character development for Power Rangers. Edgy themes were used (particularly in Power Rangers in Space and Power Rangers: Time Force) instead of the usual comedic tone, and actual casualties of good characters, which had been occurring in tokusatsu for years, began to be implemented. It would also mark the first time that Power Rangers started fresh every season after Power Rangers: In Space. Furthermore, under Tzachor, much of Power Rangers tended to draw more material from their Super Sentai counterpart with seasons such as Time Force and Wild Force being similar to their sentai counterparts and very little of the plots are changed. |
