What motif have you always wanted to see for power rangers/super sentai? Personally I'm surprised there has never been a chess style ranger team in the vain of J.A.K.Q. Dengekitai.
I imagine an obviously more tactically inclined team but the individuality of the rangers would still be readily identifiable. Knight blue would be the fast type, rook black would have his strength, bishop green/yellow would be rounded, queen pink would be the support and possibly 2nd in command, and of course the leader king red. Let us know what team theme you'd introduce if you could make your own series.
