[DISCUSSION] Help with Fixing issues with helmet

I recently added to my collection a MMPR Red Ranger helmet.



First thing that troubles me is I got it from a Reputable Helmet maker and everything is goodish but the finish isn't really what I expected (pin striping) for the price. My biggest concern is that there is a bunch of black smudge (only noticeable from right up close but annoying enough for me). It is located on the right side under the bottom part of the teeth section. I am not sure if this is above the clear coat or below. What does anyone recommend I do to maybe try cleaning this up without ruining the finish more?



Second issue is that the maker didn't file down the screws that hold the clasps in, so needless to say my neck gets stabbed when I where it. IDK if its ok to just chock them shorter or what.



Finally, The screws that hold the clasps in are loose, so the back part easily spins, but I cannot tighten it any further. Any ideas?



I am not here to bash (or name, names), I just wanna fix my helmet.
