I am extremely excited about Incredibles 2, it's been long time coming! I am going to be pissed off if this isn't true.
Cars 3....not so much.
While, I am excited, I'm alittle worried. With Monsters University, which was cool movie, and Finding Dory (Finding Nemo sequels) in the works. I'm starting to wonder if Pixar will be doing nothing but sequels from now on.
Obviously, if I were in their position, I would do the exact same thing. Why make original stuff when they could just do what worked before. That's not an insult to them at all. I completely understand, especially considering the last they did an original film it was kind of just...meh(Brave)
I'm fine with sequels as long they're at least as awesome as the original, that's definitely not the case with Cars (the first wasn't very good either). I love seeing new concepts and new characters but doesn't seem like Pixar's interested in making completely new stories anytime soon.
It's still a great thing that they're expanding the universes and developing the characters we grew up with. I'm just saying original stories would be nice.
