If Go-Busters was dubbed in English and presented on Nick.com as "Power Rangers: Spy Force" and was considered by Saban Brands and Bandai America to be in-continuity, would you watch it?
I've been reading up on how Toei and Bandai Korea operate the Power Rangers brand in South Korea, where they loosely dub each Japanese series into Korean, and use the Power Rangers branding to sell the show.
Merchandise wise, each series gets most of the previous year's Japanese toys, but sometimes original products made just for the Korean market, and even US products repackaged.
As we're not getting a Go-Busters adaptation, and we now have at least 3 unseen Ranger teams introduced in PRSM, there's a very big opportunity here for Saban Brands, Bandai and Toei to test something out online: A loosely dubbed in-canon season of Sentai, branded as a new season Power Rangers, exclusive to Nick.com or a similar platform.
I think this would be incredibly clever for everyone involved as:
1. Saban Brands has a very low-cost way to expand their franchise
2. Bandai gets new toys to release, even if limited release
3. Fans get more Power Rangers, and as it'd be loosely dubbed, it could explain loads of things we didn't know
4. If say Go-Busters's dub was a success, they have every pre-Zyu at their disposal, which makes Toei extra money
5. It would in-principle allow PRDC and PRDSC to use the Go-Buster Rangers next series without needing to explain anything
What do people think of this idea?
