Being totally honest with yourself (and the board), don’t you think you’d be enjoying Super Megaforce more as an anniversary season if you hadn’t already watched Gokaiger and the comeback of the old suits?
I’ve read many comments regarding that there’s nothing special in this season to be an anniversary season but, not having watched Gokaiger myself, it is special enough for me!
I know this season is very flawed (a little bit less than Megaforce though, in my opinion, and not because of Gokaiger footage but thanks to being more unmorphed scenes) and I would love to have more old rangers coming back, more references to the past, etc, but seeing the old suits again (not counting Sentai suits of course – I see no point in ‘celebrating’ suits we’ve never seen even if they ‘expand the universe’) is really exciting for me, so I think it is special enough for an anniversary season.
That’s why I wonder if the reason why so many people complain that this is not good enough for celebrating 20 years of PR is because there’s nothing MORE than what they’ve already seen on Sentai (and because it was better done there) and the excitement of having the suits back has worn off while watching Gokaiger and that’s why they don’t feel there’s something special about this season.
So, do you think that you’d be more excited about this anniversary if you hadn’t already watched the Sentai version?
