Hey, just an idea. I've been thinking, as much as we all have broken figures by various means, and they cost us all forms & amounts of money, wouldn't it be sweet if we had some sort of repair/replacement service? I know there are services out there, but they're few in between & usually require some existing policy with home or renters insurance. What I'm saying is a number of dedicated toy insurance services. Considering the value of collectibles & the number of overstock manufacturers have of said items, wouldn't it be better to have them service and fix or replace our items for a small fee? I know these procedures are in place for cellphones. Pay for insurance, when you device breaks, pay a small premium, and get your replacement. It's a small price for piece of mind for the collector, the service gets some money, and the manufacturer get some of the pie and they keep interest in their products. I happened upon this when I recently replaced my iPad Mini. Apple's system, for better or worse, is a sound process for keeping their products in circulation. They know their products, have the trained staff, and guarantee their clientele a authorized top class experience. Say what you will, folks for the most part walk out their doors happy. I am. Now, yeah, they usually cost a small to moderate organ to finance such satisfaction, but isn't that why we buy these things to enjoy? What price is happiness? Anyway, I'm not suggesting services cost Apple-level prices, but charge based on the figure, demand, scale, and availability of production parts. Figuarts (yeah, I know) for instance, could cost $7-$10 per part[s] or $20 a replacement. Or $40-$45 for exclusives. S.I.Cs a little more, Hot Toys a bit more than that. For discontinued items.....I don't know. You get the point. Just sound off on what you think, mention anything I'm not aware of, and maybe we can come up with a proposition for some one to start a service with this model. Thanks for listening!
