[POWER RANGERS] Rangers being jerks to each other

I'm up to "Beware the Knight" in my long-overdue re-watch of Time Force, and I have to admit the portrayal of the Rangers disturbs me. They really come across as being dicks to Trip. It's especially disconcerting given how tight the team throughout the rest of the season. Did Alex's douchebaggery rub off on them or something?



Are there any other instances in PR of Rangers being jerks to each other, and what's your take on it?
